The Building Level of the Space Inventory module is the level where districts will find functionality dealing with modifying their inventory at the building level.  At the building level, users can view summary information about a building, edit the building profile and open/close the profile.  The other functions available at this level are in the Rooms Tab, Building ASF and Lab ASF.

Building Profile Summary Screen

The summary screen contains basic profile information on the building.  There are two different types of information displayed on the summary screen: editable and generated data.

Generated data is created automatically by FUSION and includes:

  • Building Number
  • Efficiency
  • Total Rooms
  • Total Assignable Stations
  • Total ASF
  • Total OGSF

Editable data includes:

  • Name
  • Abbreviation
  • Plan Type
  • Location Code
  • Ownership Code
  • Construction Code
  • Year Built
  • Last Addition
  • Building Status

To edit the profile, click on the edit profile icon.

Edit Building Profile

The edit building profile icon , in the upper right corner of the screen allows users to edit the building profile.

Once you are done editing the data, either save it by clicking on the Save button or abandon the changes by clicking Cancel.

The building status field is related to the status of the building.  If you are an administrator, you can toggle the status of a building between three settings:

  • Offline (O) - the building's current OGSF counts towards the campus OGSF total, but the ASF is not counted; the equivalent of a building going down for maintenance
  • Deactivated (D) - the building's current OGSF and ASF is not counted in the campus total; the equivalent of the building being torn down
  • Current (C) - the building's current OGSF and ASF counts towards campus totals; the building is active

Open/Close Profile

Use the open/close profile button , located in the upper right corner of the screen, to toggle whether the profile and summary information is viewable.  Keeping the profile information closed allows more room on the screen to view room information.
