The District Level of the Space Inventory module is the level where districts will find most of the current Space Inventory program’s functionality.  At the district level summary screen, users can view summary information about a district, edit the district profile, open/close the profile, and submit the inventory.  The other screens available at the district level are the Campus Tab, the Lands/Locations Tab, and the Reports Tab.

District Profile Summary Screen

The summary screen contains basic profile information on the district.  There are two different types of information displayed on the summary screen: editable and generated data.

Generated data is created automatically by FUSION and includes:

  • District Code
  • Number of Approved Sites
  • Total Buildings
  • Total Rooms
  • Total Assignable Stations
  • Total ASF
  • Total OGSF

Editable data includes:

  • District Name
  • CEO
  • Title
  • Contact Person
  • Phone number

To edit the profile, click on the edit profile icon.

Edit District Profile

The edit district profile icon , in the upper right corner of the screen allows users to edit the district profile.

When editing a district, you cannot edit the district code since this is something that is assigned at the state level and cannot change.  The rest of the information on the screen, however, can be changed.

Once you are done editing the data, either save it by clicking on the Save button or abandon the changes by clicking Cancel.

Open/Close Profile

Use the open/close profile button , located in the upper right corner of the screen, to toggle whether the profile and summary information is viewable.  Keeping the profile information closed allows more room on the screen to view campus information.

Submit Inventory

Once an inventory is ready for submission, a district administrator can submit the inventory by clicking on the Submit Space Inventory button.

The user will be asked for verification and after which they can optionally enter a message for the FPU.  In the event that the current space inventory contains rooms that use invalid TOP codes, this button will instead display a warning to the user and open the Invalid Top Codes Report.  The district users must find and correct all rooms that use these invalid TOP codes before the district administractor can successfully submit the current space inventory.

If the FPU rejects the inventory and requests a Resubmit, the Resubmit Space Inventory button will appear.

Once an inventory has been submitted, it cannot be edited.
